I knew exactly how to film A WRINKLE IN TIME and A WIND IN THE DOOR immediately after reading them as a 9yo in 1975. Typical of Disney to have punted it so badly.

THE DARK TOWER...well, it probably couldn't be any worse in film, though I didn't attempt the comic, having had enough time wasted by the initial prose.

Avram Davidson's THE MASTERS OF THE MAZE and Vergil Magus series and Jack Vance's Cugel/Dying Earth stories could eaily blow these off the screen...much less Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser...Alaric the Minstrel...Alyx...

Those would be great, Todd, but we both know they'll never get made. Too bad, though.
