Happy Birthday, Ray Price!

Ray Price (musician) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: "Ray Price (born January 12, 1926 in Perryville, Texas) is an American country and western singer/songwriter/guitarist. Some of his more famous songs include 'Release Me', 'Crazy Arms', 'Heartaches By the Number', 'City Lights', 'My Shoes Keep Walking Back To You', 'For The Good Times', 'I Won't Mention It Again', 'The Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me', and 'Danny Boy.' Ricky Van Shelton, no slouch as a singer himself, also has a birthday today. He's 56.

I saw Ray Price in concert last Saturday night. He still has his voice, and he sounded great.

Kasey Lansdale has been on the bill with Price a couple of times, and Joe agrees with your assessment of his sound, I believe.

Yep, Price sounds better than he did when he was younger. He's amazing. Yep, my daughter opened for Ray Price three times with her band THE DALETONES. Joe
