Ralphie May, R. I. P.
Deadline: Tributes are pouring in for Ralphie May, the popular comedian who died today at 45. The majority of reactions are coming from members of the tightknit stand-up community, who are using phrases such as “funny and sweet,” “one of the nicest and kindest out there” and “realest dude I’ve ever met.”

Corresponded the slightest bit over the last couple of years with his ex, Lahna Turner, who is unsurprisingly shaken, even given the divorce.
Never met him or talked to anyone with him, but I was shocked and saddened last night. A very funny man and somebody who was well known for helping others. I am going to miss him.
Afraid I never heard of him until now.
