Reminds me of Shel Silverstein's take on the story: about a young girl who went to Hollywood to fund work as a hooker, got in with the wrong crowd and became a star.

I hadn't realized the term "sexploitation" had been coined that early (1963).

Deb, it's a '60s term, I think, but I didn't know it was used this early, either.

Dan your comment reminds me of a story I read somewhere about my "Overlooked Movie" for today. Apparently many actresses wanted to play the parts in the movie, and the ones who got the roles supposedly "went down on their knees" for the director.

I don't understand why they make a big deal about Bruce Jenner & transsexuals today, it was a big deal in 1970 with Myra Breckenridge & again with The Rocky Horror Picture Show but that was ages ago. I don't recall the last time I was shocked, nothings new anymore...
