That movie got a horrible review in New York.

I think the reviews in general have been, as they say, "mixed."

Michael Caine? Charlotte Rampling? Is this 1975?

The Europeans and I miss the old days.

Apparently the title of that movie does not describe the characters. However, I am always glad to see Michael Caine get an award for any reason at all.

The first thing I remember Rampling in - a role not unlike many she was to play over the next 50 years - was the bitchy flatmate in GEORGY GIRL.

YOUTH is apparently what some of our friends refer to as alter cockers...and maybe what Jackie Kashian refers to, films of later-life romance, as "mingling wrinkles"...

It's what Judy and I called a "Q-tip movie." You have to stand in the rear of the theater and look out over the audience to get the picture.
