I'm somewhat shocked by the failure to mention Ray Bradbury's The Martian Chronicles (1950), in which the residual (and very few) inhabitants are humanoid and described as "...having brown skin, yellow eyes, and russet hair..."
Also by the failure to mention Orson Welles' treatment of War of the Worlds.
