I STILL have not seen the flick. I hate to watch it on TV. Maybe I can use my parent's big TV.

Deb, as you might guess, I already have that one scheduled for tomorrow.

Gerard, it's a good one to see in the theater if you can, but a bit TV will do.

Interesting to see if Tom Hardy will get any nominations or awards for LEGEND in the double roles of Reggie and Ronnie Kray. Stunning performance!

Well...no. I liked it, and Charlize Theron was about as great as usual, but it wasn't even the best film I've seen in a theater this year. SPOTLIGHT might have that slot. Given that the only other film I recall seeing in a theater was SPY, it was a decent if sparse year for cinema-going.

The National Board must be losing it. This is ludicrous.

Oh, yes, Alice and I also saw SICARIO. That was the worst of the four, but mostly because of the unbelievable naivete of Emily Blunt's veteran agent. It was still watchable, with some good performances. That it won for scripting suggest how inept these "critics" are.

2015 is much too early for me to have seen any 2015 films 8-) Some films I might go see, just for a lark, but most must be put through the sieves of cultural blogs I like, such as this one, opinions of friends & strangers (whether I usually agree or disagree with such opinions, either way it's a good tool), and film critics with whose opinions I either usually agree or disagree with.
Many thanks to y'all who toil in the vineyards of good, bad and indifferent films so that I don't have to 8-)
