Moral of the story is: know how to create a new spreadsheet! Some years ago at the company where I worked, the HR Department emailed an Excel spreadsheet of workplace assignments. It only took us a few moments to realize that some Einstein in HR had simply used a payroll spreadsheet with the "Hide" feature activated for sensitive information. We quickly uncovered the payroll columns and discovered what everyone in the company was earning.

There were so long faces at work that day.
