Borders to Shut Down - WSJ.com: "Borders Group Inc. said it would liquidate after the second-largest U.S. bookstore chain failed to receive any offers to save it."

Expected...but depressing.
Sad day for the Blushing Bride and me since the only good brick and mortar store w/in driving distance is a Borders (opened just four years ago). Now we have to drive twice as far to B&N or even a satisfactory indie store.
Sad days indeed.
I ditto Benjie's comment. Borders was the closest book store to us and it was 45 minutes away. Next closest store is the B&N in Annapolis, which is over an hour away. The only independent book store by us closed several months ago.
