Hate to hear this. Love john Barry's work, particularly on the Bond films and ZULU.

I can remember John Barry's work in his pre-Bond years, back in Britain in the late 1950s when he was associated with Jack Good's "Oh Boy!", a pioneering TV rock'n'roll show. Then there was the John Barry Seven, who had a string of modest hits, and the distinctive backings for Adam Faith's pop records in the days before Faith became actor and businessman. Brings back lots of good memories ... and music that plays itself in your head at the mention of a title. RIP.
