I'm sorry to hear that. One of my goals was always to get a copy of this in print form.
The digital-heads will kill print books, telephone, CDs and everything else we hold dear. What's next, will the bakery send us digital doughnuts?

I bought the two-volume "Shorter OED" maybe 12 years ago, and it's like an old friend.
Me too, Ron. My Shorter OED was printed 1993 and I still refer to it. Its weight alone suggests it's authoritative!
