The Doris Day in this movie is listed in IMDB as "Doris Day (II)." She was born in 1910 and this was her film debut. Also the high point of her career which was mostly small and often uncredited parts in lower budget pictures. Her career ended in 1943 although she died in 1998 at the age of 88, in Huntington Beach California.

Something odd about the poster, though. That's Roy Rogers and Trigger, but his name isn't there with the rest of the cast.
The only possibility I can suggest is that the border cut it off.
