New CD from the Cornell Hurd Band
My son, Allen, engineered this CD, and he plays lead guitar on a lot of tracks. Sometimes he plays several guitar parts. On one, he plays about eight guitar parts, plays the glockenspiel, plays sax, and sings harmony. How can you resist?

If you're going to name your talented musician son after me, the least you could do is spell "Allan" right. Or maybe send me a free CD.
Congrats, pops.
Hey, even I don't get a free CD. And I never could spell.
What's with this clear trend in eclectic Texan writers and their musician/techician offspring, anyway? Those of us from Alaska who dabble in both wonder if parental relocation might've helped. But, then, there's nothing necessarily stopping me from moving to Austin and start rearing (after finding a game partner, which I suspect might be easier than is prudent).
Work that pedal steel, Junior. Que bellisimo, mi hijo.
Come to think of it, at least one of Algis Budrys's kids is a musician/tech type...it isn't that unlikely, the artistic streak running through the family...and certainly less potential ego-bruising than generations of writers (the Benchleys, for example)...
One of my great-uncles was a painter and writer. It's from my mother's side of the family.
Love that album cover photo.
