As frequently, I'm not impressed. Not only ignores such foreign ignorables as the Brit quasi riff on HOGAN, 'ALLO 'ALLO, but also the one US WW2 sitcom I (dimly) remember as being actually a bit funny, M*A*S*H's shortlived sibling ROLL OUT.

And THE RAT PATROL remains my default choice for the worst 1960s series I remember seeing, agains a whole lot of stiff competition (at least if we leave out the lesser Hanna-Barbera cartoons and such).

The (Granada?) UK documentary import THE WORLD AT WAR, currently rerun on the Military Channel and syndicated in the States in the early/mid '70s, was the real game changer for my friends and me as kids. It hit home.

Leaving out SECRET ARMY (which 'ALLO 'ALLO spoofed) and DAD'S ARMY is inexcusable.

Not to mention the BBC's "Colditz" which featured David McCallum and Robert Wagner.
