Song of Solomon 2, 11-12

"For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; the flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land."

And just what the heck is the voice of a turtle anyway? I don't think I've EVER heard a turtle make a sound! Of course, it could be that they just don't want to talk to me. I get that a lot.

Turtles speak only to the enlightened. You'll be interested to read something about this in the forthcoming Sheriff Rhodes novel. In fact, you may even have something to say about it in the book.
