Some of them are going on 'dates' and talking on their own cell phones. They listen to sexually charged pop music, play mature-rated video games and spend time gossiping on MySpace. And more girls are wearing makeup and clothing that some consider beyond their years."

Better nutrition, more hormones in the meat and dairy and such, and the false notion previously that, say, 10yos were not at least some of the time starting to feel their oats. At least, I know puberty started letting me know about itself when I was about 9, and that wasn't so very recently. AP really on top of the curve, here...
