I know that some smarty pants kids made fun of the Teen Commandments and said that this was just an easy way for these three singers to make some money but not me. I typed the Teen Commandments out on a piece of paper and put it in my billfold and even after all these years whenever I have an impure thought or think about robbing a bank or blowing up a football stadium I just whip out my billfold and study the Teen Commandments. Dr. O'Malley says this shows signs that someday I might be able to be released. He says the world has changed a lot since they put in here the same year the Teen Commandments singers were on the Dick Clark show. But I wouldn't know about that. I mean the bars on these windows look just the same to me.

This is probably the best comment we've ever had here on the blog, and I hope it will lead some of today's teens to put their feet on the "straight and narrow." I some cases "rap" might already had led them too far down the "road to perdition," however. We need artists like Kanye and B. o. B. to record a new version of this number to "set things right."

I couldn't agree more. If I could understand a single sentence of Kanye's I'm sure I would be inspired to be a better geezer. Wisdom has no age limits. My twelve year old granddaughter doesn't know what the hell he's saying either.

I had an impure thought about having a milkshake, but I turned away, plenty pronto. Lucky for me I didn't question authority when I was told to eat my healthy soup (kale & barley, with butternut squash). I saw cantaloupes at the market, but I turned away then, too. Darn, life is tough when you're a teen.
