Stand aside Eugene O'Neill--a woman running the Love Boat. Deep Think Hwood at its finest. I don't think I ever watched a complete episode of Love Boat. Something sad about all the fading stars and the Captain drove me up the wall.
Floavorwire full of [excrement] as frequently. The revived FANTASY ISLAND was actually witty rather than serious, though it certainly was also more thrilling (and somewhat less sadistic) than the original...and the second in command on the new series was Maedchan Amick, a good choice both dramatically and in aspect.
Lets hope ABC actually chooses to support a decent reboot this time, if they get one, rather than tossing it hither and yon. (I have to wonder if FL isn't screwing it up with THE LOVE BOAT, which did run in revival on UPN...I don't recall any episodes on that network).

Not at all missed in the second version.
Can you imagine the hair pulling on the set of Little Women of L.A. (or whatever it's called) when the casting call for the next Tattoo is announced.
