I don't know how carefully you looked at these, but I swear that the #2 ad for Sanka looks exactly like some of the old Mad Magazine ad parodies. I don't remember the name of the artist I am thinking of; he would have been one if their regular guys in the mid-sixties to the mid-seventies, which was the only time I read Mad frequently.
I did look at them pretty closely, but I hadn't thought of the possible Mad connection. It wouldn't surprise me if #2 turned out to be from the magazine. Several of these looked almost too weird to be real.
SteveHL, perhaps you are thinking of Norman Mingo, but it looks more like Johnny Craig to me, especially the woman in the first panel poking the man in the nose. No telling who it really was.
