This all to the good. I love Bill and Toby, and they have done a lot. But it is way, way past time for a Bouchercon to honor Janet Rudolph for her years on service to the mystery community. If it has already happened, I have missed it, and that's on me. But I don't think it has, and it is more than time to do so.
I'd agree with Anon; if Janet hasn't received that award, she should. Looking for a list...I find (beginning in 2002) an award for Special Service to the Mystery Community: 2002: Doris Ann Norris 2003: Janet Hutchings 2004: 2005: 2006: Janet Rudolph 2007: Jim Huang (who was my immediate nominee for a future award) 2008: Jon and Ruth Jordan 2009: Jon and Ruth Jordan (again) 2010: 2011: Ali Karim (this is the first time it's referred to as the David S. Thompson Award) 2012: Len and June Moffatt 2013: Marv Lachman 2014: Judy Bobalik 2015: Bill and Toby Gottfried
I don't want to start anything, but the list I checked refers to that as an Anthony Award, which is nice, but is not the same as being honored by Bouchercon, as for instance, the Fan Guest of Honor, or, The David S. Thompson Award. But, maybe that is just me.
Anon--I think the name changed from the award for Special Service to the Mystery Community to the David S. Thompson Award for Special Service to the Mystery Community.

My memory is dim these days, so I'm not sure if Janet has been honored. She sure deserves this award, to start with.
Good for Toby and Bill, very much deserved!

Okay, cool. I thought she might have. Well deserved, as are all the others.
