At least where Gina Gershon was concerned, never stripped down enough...alas. But at least she and KMc were the only ones who seemed to know what a travesty of a film they were making.
Carrie Ann Inaba was just young enough that we didn't cross paths in our Honolulu high school...I was graduated when she was finishing 8th grade there, across campus.
IMDb on Inaba, and at the end is more an example of the Decline and Fall than SHOWGIRLS as a whole: "Carrie Ann Inaba was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA. She is of Japanese, Chinese, and Irish ancestry, and is the youngest of two children."
I don't think it actually hurt anyone other than Verhoeven, who was deserving of hurt, and the star, who appears to have learned that what she did in this film and SAVED BY THE BELL was acting only by certain limited definition...a good lesson to learn, frankly.

Ah. Apparently, he Didn't realize as much as it came off to me...he seemed, like her, to be taking everything with a flagon of salt.

Being associated with that movie wasn't exactly a great career move.
Sure, it is a bad movie, but I do like the stupid thing.
