Number 9! While I was a letter carrier a couple of summers around 69-69, I had a number of friendly dog follow me around, but I did have a torn trowser leg from an unfriendly dachshund. The owner called him back, and told me, with my trousers shredded, “Oh, he never bites.”

Another thing people should know is that the USPS is required by Congress to follow different rules for funding its pensions than UPS and FedEx and DHL and...so on...have to follow: USPS has to fully fund (that is, put enough in right now) all the future benefits (that is, it can't count on any investment income)every year. Last I read, that was more than the USPS annual deficit.
