Alan Jeffery Yates, apparently, born 1923, died 1985, First published book as listed was in 1949 (1929-1952 as Paul Valdez), last one in 1984. 250 books published in 36 years, an average of 7 per year...He must have written 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, 52 weeks a year...and never re-written...

I bought a lot of Carter Brown paperbacks just for the covers.
This one has a terrific cover, doesn't it?
Carter Brown got very lucky with those McGinnis covers.

Yates published at least one book under his own name in the U.S., and SF novel. I've always suspected that he might have had a ghost or two.
