Will the Persecution Never End?

20 Famous Hollywood Actresses Who Can’t Actually Act

OK. First, there are so many things wrong with this it isn't funny. The premise is stupid. Janet Jackson and Beyonce are singers, not actors. However you'd characterize Kim Kardashian or (sorry, Bill) Paris Hilton, I don't think "actress" would be #1 on the list. I don't like J.Lo much but she was good in OUT OF SIGHT.

And how can you list Jennifer Anniston or Katherine Heigl but not Kate Hudson?

Must I swirl on my Zorro cape and rush to the defense of all these fine women?

I notice Denise (Christmas) Richards didn't make the list. At least they have some taste.

Other than sex tapes has Kim K. ever been in a "real" movie?

She's been in a bunch of TV shows, but maybe not a movie.

Where's Barbie Benton (g)?

Lopez annoys me but she was great in OUT OF SIGHT.

She wasn't too bad in SELENA, as well. Meanwhile, such a terrible singer as Mariah Carey (technical skill woefully misapplied) can assay a fine acting performance (what little I saw of PRECIOUS). Meanwhile, Beyonce Knowles isn't much of a singer or dancer, either, yet is routinely cited as the first through fifth coming, so suggesting her minor attempts at acting aren't too impressive, either, is probably a net benefit for human taste.

Yes, you may borrow my Zorro cape (I don't think I have too much mortar dust on it), if you like, Bill.

Meanwhile, yes, about half these citations are incorrect. But half aren't.

Kardashian has been in three dire-looking dramatic films.

I'm lucky enough not to be aware of KK's movies.

I can't seem to find my Zorro cape, and I don't want to borrow one. I'm going to let the women defend themselves.

I suspect millionaires are enjoying the best revenge, even if they are living well by their own standards (one might still feel a little bad over how things are going for Lohan, but she can still afford to employ help).

Better watch out Todd--members of the "Bey-hive" will be coming after you for disparaging their Queen Bey.

As for the never-ending persecution, I thought yesterday there was a link that indicated the persecution was ending. How fickle is fate. Sigh.

The persecution lapses occasionally, but then it resumes.

I thought of another they (no doubt) inadvertently left out: Madonna.

How can a list like this ignore Kirstie Alley? What a reprehensible screen presence. I'm glad they listed Knightley. I always thought she had two expressions and no delivery, pretty as she is. There's another candidate--Vanna White. But at least her leaden flop proved to the world how bad she is and she was wise enough to walk away.

Kirstie gave the best Emmy acceptance speech, though.

Frankly, I'd pay to watch Travolta or The Dwarf before I'd sit through anything Kirstie was in.

Speaking of Travolta and Kirstie, Look Who's Talking made well over $200 million, maybe closer to $300 million. And there were two sequels.

They're still bozos.
