Tommy Ramone, R. I. P.
Variety: Drummer and producer Tommy Ramone, the last surviving original member of the influential New York punk quartet the Ramones, died Friday at his home in the Ridgewood area of Queens, New York. He was 62 and had been in hospice care following treatment for bile duct cancer.

Hard to believe they're all dead--and at such young ages! And not from the usual drugs-and-rock'n'roll lifestyle, but from cancers of various types. Well, may the now reunited Ramones rock out in the afterlife tonight!

No, I was wrong: Dee Dee Ramone did die from a drug overdose, but all the others were from cancer. (Odd fact: Ray Manzarek of the Doors also died from bile duct cancer.)
