Well, not just you. There are others who don't care for Holden and Salinger in general at all. The current discussion of "classics" on DorothyL has quite a few people expressing something close to your comments on Holden. You're not alone.
I suspect his heirs will be publishing a lot of his out-of-print and unpublished work over the next few years. I think I read somewhere that he had several fully-completed novels in a safe in his house. Only time will tell, I suppose.
