Amazon.com: The Time Trap eBook: Henry Kuttner: Kindle Store: 1939 Retro-Hugo Awards Best Novella nominee
A titan of the genre, Henry Kuttner, weaves a spellbinding tale of a time-traveling archaeologist in one of the most fantastic adventures ever conceived.
My advice: Don't pass this up!

I realize you can't answer this right away, and there's no rush since I've been trying for forty years to remember this title....
There was a time travel book, serio-comic in tone, in which a guy in NYC got caught up in an adventure that also involved motorcycle chases, Abraham Lincoln, and aliens with no necks and just the one eye that looked like a glittering pizza. I think they may have called the Roxx, Raxx, something like that.
I saw this title, Time Trap and thought it was the one, but it had a vibe that it was written in the sixties. (I read it twice in the high school library in the early seventies.)
Does it ring any bells?
The only Lincoln time-travel book I remember is THE LINCOLN HUNTERS, but that's not the one you describe.
