Wow! This brings back memories. An older couple in my childhood neighborhood had the first TV on our street and would let the neighborhood kids in to watch cartoons on their Philco console for a couple of hours on Saturday.
I was so hung up on tv when we first got it I'd literally leave the test pattern on just because it was...tv.
Makes me remember when the family got it's first TV. I was about seven, in the mid-fifties and my stepfather carried it into the house by himself.
