When I was growing up in a gas station near Liberty Hill, Texas, in the '50's, we used to get a card stock letter size poster each month. Sort of a movie calendar from the movie theater in Bertram, about 15 miles away. Each week or so boasted one of these type ads. I think of that whenever you post these. Wish I'd kept a couple of them.

We called those "show calendars" in Mexia.
