This would be funny if it wasn't so sad, or sad if it wasn't so funny. I'm not sure which.

Actual exchange with 8th grade student just before the movie "Twilight" was released:
Student: "I know I have to be prepared for the movie to be different from the book; not as good."
Me: "Yes, I remember the first time I saw 'Gone with the Wind.' I was so unhappy because it changed so much of the book."
Student: "'Gone with the Wind' is a book?"
