Ender's Game, maybe. Hyperion, too big. Hollywood would chew it up and spit out a mess. The rest, aren't even worth consideration. Which may mean they'll be in a theatre near us in a year or two...

Half to agree with Richard. I love the Hyperion novels but they would be hard to condense down to movie size. Ender's Game suffers from having a little kid as the lead. The rest are just TV stuff. Never could understand the popularity of Dr. Who.

Dude seems unaware that there was a DOCTOR WHO movie with Peter Cushing in the '60s.

They should call it, "A List Intended to Make Old Guys Feel Even Older." MOTE IN GOD'S EYE was the only one of the novels that I've read. For all I know, the Simmons book may be pure gold, but the phrase "Hyperion Cantos" makes me gag. I guess oldies like THE DEMOLISHED MAN and STRANGER IN A STRANGE LAND, which used to top fans' movie wish list, don't have much market appeal anymore.

We don't really need another Neil Patrick Harris vehicle, although I have to admit that he was pretty funny in the Harold & Kumar films.

Although I wouldn't rush out and buy a ticket for anything on the list, any of them would probably be a better idea than yet another Flash Gordon or Buck Rogers "reboot."

The Hyperion series is, as Rick and Steve said, would be difficult to film. I'd love to see The Stars My Destination, but of course the people who made that list never read it, I'm sure.
