Meanwhile, the Air Force changes its story:
The mystery of the Stephenville UFOs might have been solved.
Today the Air Force Reserve said on the night of January 8, ten F-16 fighter jets were conducting training flights in the area. Many of the suspected UFO sightings took place on that night.
Originally, the 301st Fighter Wing at the Naval Air Station Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base said none of its jets were in the area that night.
In a statement today, a Wing spokesman says they made a mistake and that jets were flying in the Stephenville area that evening.

Well, duh.
if the air force is coming out and saying "yeah, we were flying there" it's a pretty good bet that they weren't flying there.
Those must be the special fighter jets that hover and emit red lights.
That explains everything.
Of course none of those witnesses had ever seen a fighter jet before, so naturally they mistook them for a silent, 1/2-mile long UFO.
All the fighter jets I've ever seen must've been unusually small and in dire need of mufflers.
Lights don't mean UFO's, but they may not mean jets either. Does Bigfoot fly aircraft?
