After seeing this list, you'll want to get into an argument with the guy about the difference between noir and hardboiled, since he doesn't seem to have a clue. But let's not get into that ourselves. Thanks.

Other than use of a style book, I find myself agreeing with nearly all the time, Gomer.
Sub-genres are great fodder for arguments. What's the difference between P.I., Hardboiled and Noir? Depends on who's talking about it.
