The Wailin' Jennys. George Kelly sent me a link to NPR : Folk Alleys Top 10 CDs of 2006, and so far I haven't gotten past this group. Good group, good songs. And a great name. Check 'em out.
I have the #3 album LOST JOHN DEAN by Keiran Kane, Kevin Welch and Fats Kaplan. It is pretty amazing. I saw them at River Bend in Chattanooga this summer and bought the CD from them right away.
Well, really, Bill, isn't it time to get out the Elvis or Johnny Mathis Christmas CD's??? And there's the Platters Christmas songs as well. You're letting the season slip by you.
My favorite Christmas CD is the Kingston Trio's "Last Month of the Year." Great stuff, all the way through. And I have a ton of doo-wop and rock 'n' roll Christmas stuff on CD. So don't worry. I'm listening to that, too.

They remind me of the Dixie Chicks somewhat.
I actually like them better.
