It Was 50 Years Ago Today

On December 29, 1960, I had a date with a girl named Judy Stutts. She was pretty and smart, so I thought I'd ask her out again. Seems like only yesterday.

A Date With Judy -- sounds like it would make a great movie, or radio show, or comic book...

Kudos to both you and Judy for picking such great partners.

Congratulations to you both. My wife and I are nearing the 40th anniversary of our first date but I will have to wait until she tells me the exact date of it. Wedding ann. I can remember but not the first date.

Congrats to you both.

Nice. Bill, other than the hair you don't look all that different! Judy is as lovely now as ever.

Our first date (sort of) was New Year's Eve, 1966, though our first "official" date was two weeks later, January 14, 1967.

My parents just celebrated their first, which was Christmas Eve, 1941.

Your parents have a few years on me, Jeff. And I wish I did look the same. Judy's the one who's retained her youthful aspect.

What a great looking couple! Happy First Date Anniversary! You did the Right Thing in asking Judy out again.

That first date couldn't possible have been 50 years ago. Like you, I remember it as being only last week. Anyway, congratulations to you both. I'm going to give myself a little credit for my involvement in getting you two together, so congratulations to me, too.

If not for you and Loibeth, I'd probably still be single.

Congratulations to you and your wife! As I posted on George's blog this morning (re his 32nd anniversary), I feel like a piker coming up on only my 22nd wedding anniversary. Our first date was about 25 years ago--but, not knowing at the time that he was "the one," I didn't keep track of the date.

Thanks, Bill, for making me feel young again. If only briefly. I was 10 for your first date. Love and congrats to you both.

I was only 8 at the time, but I was already dating Judy's roommate. Congratulations and thanks for giving all of us a glimpse of true love!
