The Atlantic Archives Are Now Free

Editors' Note: "Beginning today, TheAtlantic.com is dropping its subscriber registration requirement and making the site free to all visitors.

Now, in addition to such offerings as blogs, author dispatches, slideshows, interviews, and videos, readers can also browse issues going back to 1995, along with hundreds of articles dating as far back as 1857, the year The Atlantic was founded."

Hat tip to Boing Boing.

Excellent...one can go back and find stuff from the '60s, when THE ATLANTIC was genuinely good, and the late '70s, early '80s, when I subscribed last, and it wasn't Too shabby. I look forward to revisiting Anthony Burgess's review columns. Already dug out one Peter Ustinov article, apparently the only one available...thanks.
