I was in the audience at the Talking Heads concert the night "Stop Making Sense" was filmed. My one extremely fleeting brush with fame.

Off topic - Deb, what are your thoughts on the new Saints running back?

He will be missed. Did some great films-Stop Making Sense, Silence of the Lambs, Something Wild, Married to the Mob. Too bad his last movie was the awful Rikki and the Flash.

Rick--New Orleans seems ready to forgive and forget the child abuse if they can give the team a good running back. I'm not sure I am ready to, but he says he's reformed. Only time will tell.

He first drew my attention with the Roy Schieder thriller "Last Embrace" which, except for insufficient shooting time for the climax at Niagara Falls, is a terrific little film. (Demme admitted he regretted not having more time there.)

I agree on LAST EMBRACE. I remember turning it on when it ran on HBO in the early '80s, not knowing anything much about it, and really liking it. Of course he also did MELVIN AND HOWARD ("Howard Hughes sang my song!") and the underrated HANDLE WITH CARE.

Don't forget Caged Heat, Jeff. Except for the lack of Pam Grier, a truly wonderful movie.

SILENCE OF THE LAMBS blew my mind the first time I saw it...and I had read the Thomas Harris novel before I saw the movie, too! Jonathan Demme's style was unique.

I meant to mention that classic, Steve, but somehow forgot.
