I just read Grann's KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON, about a series of murders on the Osage Indian Reservation on Oklahoma in the 1920s. A well-written account of a undeniably depressing subject, but what I found most disconcerting was that the book had no index. Why would a big nonfiction work not be indexed?
