Fury Road was great, but I didn't think it matched the car chase that ends The Road Warrior. And they're exactly right about Ronin - everyone looks like they're absolutely scared and desperate. That's probably my third favorite, after Bullitt and The French Connection.
Every one of those I've seen is a great bit of film-making. I remember a brilliant car chase scene in Costa-Gavras'first film as a director), The Sleeping Car Murder but I can't find a link to a clip. THE DRIVER is a classic. But where's DRIVE?

I was glad to see The 7 Ups included. The bad guy driver reminds me of an uncle who never went over 35 mph in his life. It was a great chase, too.
Ah, but what about those of us who remember THE LINE-UP from 1958?
