Gardenias
Judy loved gardenias. This morning I looked out the back windows and saw one of the bushes blooming. I'd never see it bloom in March before. Not just one bloom, either but several. Soon it will be covered with them. I got a little verklempt thinking how much Judy would've enjoyed this. She'd have been out there cutting a few blooms to set around the house, but I'll just leave them where they are.

Nice for you.
I have Gardenia envy. I haven't had any luck with them here in Oregon. I use the weather as an excuse.
I'm sorry you were verklempt, but I appreciate you using the word.
She'd be proud of how you have soldiered on. I am.
Plants are a nice way to remember someone. We have rhubarb that was originally from the garden of my wife's beloved grandparents, and it thrives on in our yard. Hopefully we'll pass some of it on to our descendants.
Both my Mom and my Grandmothers loved them. Stay strong.
Beautiful, and such fragrance. We have had little luck with them here, though I grew them in Southern California with no trouble.
That's a nice sentiment. I'm not sure we have them here.
