I guess the art of writing book blurbs has not progressed much since 1943:"...a surprising and thrillful ending."
Whenever I see one of these vintage paperbacks, I just want to everything and read an Oldie. When I think about it, the years I read these great vintage paperbacks back in the early 1960s were some of the happiest years of my life.
Ditto, George! I miss the old days!
I didn't realize their pseudonym was on top of another layer of pseudonyms!
