I really liked Richard Glendinning's Gold Medal books. WHO EVIL THINKS is on the top tier.
Thanks for that recommendation. I have it but haven't read it. I'll go get it out.
Here seems to be a strain of misogyny that runs through these books (at least if the back-cover copy is to be trusted)...
No one in the paperback business went broke in the '50s suggesting that aggressive women were Pyuooor EEEvulll.
