The New York Times: Marjorie Lord, an actress who achieved success as the comedian Danny Thomas’s wife on the Emmy-winning comedy series “The Danny Thomas Show,” but to her frustration found herself being typecast as a housewife for years afterward, died on Nov. 28. She was 97.
Hat tip to Jeff Meyerson.

In the early 1980s, I worked for a bank where Harry Volk either was or had been the Chairman of the Board. There was a huge oil painting of Marjorie Lord hanging in lobby of one of the main bank buildings. That seems do quaint now. What CoB would have a spouse's portrait on the wall in a public office space?
I didn't know she was still alive. RIP.
