I hadn't realized - then, I hadn't really thought about it - that Frankie Ford was only 19 when "Sea Cruise" came out. He basically lived off that one hit for the next 55 years - not that there's anything wrong with that. I once read a story about Domenico Modugno doing the same with "Volare." Or Kyu Sakamoto with "Sukiyaki," though sadly he died at 43 in the worst single-aircraft crash in history.
