I had an eight track player in my '72 Dodge. It got stolen, along with the tapes, while I was in the parking lot at a park where I was playing Frisbee with some friends. I didn't replace it.
I always hated 8-tracks...never had one, but a couple of friends did, and most of the things changed tracks frequently in the middle of a song...annoying.
