If they're recommending Ptushko, I'd add ILYA MUROMETS, which we older adults better remember from its dubbed U.S. release title, THE SWORD AND THE DRAGON. The 1930s version of SHE is far superior to the Hammer version, although neither does full justice to Rider Haggard.
