Dropping by for lunch? Tell CMS who you are - CharlotteObserver.com: "Parents who want to eat with their kids in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools cafeterias are expected to register as volunteers and get a criminal-background check - which comes with daily monitoring for new violations.
The reason? Lunch visits provide access to other children as well."

Our schools do a background check each year for all volunteers. I don't know if they do that for anyone coming to eat lunch.
In our school district, parents have to have their driver's license scanned before they can even enter the school grounds. I don't know what the school does if you have unpaid parking tickets.
Guillotine?
