This would come as news to Orwell among several others.
Later: "He doesn't edit much." Sadly evident too often from early on.
And he couldn't sell outside the sf magazines...except to WEIRD TALES, his first sustained professional market, and such crime fiction magazines as DIME MYSTERY...and...
Also, actually he's 90 years young. In just about 10 days -- still living, and not sure if he's writing/dictating so many stories these days, but he's with us! [Aug 2010]
