Michael Cera should play Gilligan in ‘Gilligan’s Island: The Movie.’ But who should play the Skipper? Entertainment: "'Gilligan's Island: The Movie' has gotten the green light at Warner Bros., according to Variety magazine.
And who does the classic TV show's venerable producer, Sherwood Schwartz, want to play Gilligan?
'Juno' and 'Superbad' star Michael Cera."

The Skipper? Dennehy is too old, and Candy and Bernie Mac are dead, so I guess that leaves ... Jack Black? Cedric the Entertainer? Philip Seymour Hoffman?
Maybe GHR and Barbara Bush can play the Howells.
Judging by how beefy he's looking lately, Alec Baldwin could play the Skipper.
Alec Baldwin.
Darn, Deb beat me to it, and with the same reason.

Donald and Ivana could reunite to play the Howells. After all, Paris is way too young for the role.
Jeff
Who's going to play the Harlem Globetrotters, or are they committed to the LOST finale?
I think the GI trac...I mean reunion on ROSEANNE was more than anyone ever needed.
There is no need and less interest in a remake of a cheesy TV series. Heaven helps us, doesn't ANYONE in Hollywood have an original idea?
Okay, maybe they could use Ice Cube in the role, and everyone would Hip-Hop, and aliens would come down and scoop them up and take them into space, but Gilligan (Ice Cube, remember?) would slip out the air lock without a suit and would explode, causing all the dogs on earth to howl at once, which would melt the polar ice caps and the surfers on the Rockies west slope would take over the country and he new President would be known as the "Head Dude" but he'd be eaten by the killer whales who, along with the dolphins and whales take over the planet. Whew.
Oops, that last one was supposed to be by that Soames character. This is confusing.
Boy, THAT stopped this thread.
