I remember reading the original years ago!
"Death's Sweet Song" is my personal favorite of all the fine novels that Gold Medal published. No other one hit me harder. You know as things spiral out of control for Joe Hooper that he has no way of avoiding disaster, but you keep pulling for him. The lesson? Leave those trouble "Skirts" alone.
I've been after a copy of DEATH'S SWEET SONG for some time, but eBay, ABE, et al haven't been any help. I've yet to find a copy for sale; it's a tough one to fine.

Let me try that again. You can find the book in lots of eBook formats at Munsey’s .
Thanks, Bill! I downloaded a .pdf of it. I struggle with reading fiction electronically, but maybe I'll just read a bit at a time until I (hopefully soon) stumble upon a pbo of it.
Or maybe I'll just buy a ream of paper and print the thing out...
